ONLINE BRIEFING ON THE NEW STREAMLINED PROCESS

The Philippine Consulate General in Calgary and the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA), in cooperation with the Philippine Canadian Nurses Association (PCNA) and the Alberta Association of Nurses (AAN), invite all interested Filipino Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) in Alberta to the online briefing on the New Streamlined Process in Obtaining a Nursing Permit in Alberta  to be held on 28 April  2023, Friday, at 5:00-6:30 PM (Mountain Standard Time) via Zoom platform. The College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) is committed to removing barriers for internationally educated nurses (IENs) who wish to transfer to Alberta. On April 4, 2023, the CRNA is reducing barriers and giving applicants more options and quicker pathways to apply to become registered nurses.  Read more here.

International Nursing Week is an annual celebration that the Alberta Association of Nurses (AAN) is excited to be a part of. With 10,000 members and counting, we have a lot to celebrate!

This year, the theme for Nurses Week is Our Nurses, Our Future. The Canadian Nurses Association shares, “This theme showcases the many roles that nurses play in a patient’s health-care journey. The pandemic brought to light the courage and commitment that nurses work under every day and showed the important role that nurses play in the community.” Read more here.

ARNET Scholarship Application - 2023

In early 2023, the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA), in partnership with regulators will pilot a new registration process for internationally educated nurses (IENs) aimed at eliminating months – or even years – from the application journey. On December 4th, we held an event to introduce and commemorate our organization's effort and dedication to supporting IENs.
